The England Football Charity, registered charity number 1204361, was founded in 2023. We are a national charity that aims to harness the power of football for the good of society. We do this through effective fundraising, grant making and performance monitoring of existing programmes that utilise football to drive individual, community & societal development and provide mental health benefits.
The charity is supported by The Football Association (The FA), which recognises the wider impact that football can have beyond pure participation and physical activity. This support includes extending The FA’s England Football brand to the charity and appointing up to three Trustees to the Board. However, from a governance, strategic and operational perspective, the charity operates fully independently from The FA in delivering its Charitable Objects.
